Congratulations to Ralph and Shirley Riggall who recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary. Ralph and Shirley ran the General Store and Post Office in Wrawby for many years, making lots of friends.
Congratulations also to Albert & Jean Catley who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 20th.
The school’s Parents’ Forum group would like to remind residents about the informal ‘one way system’ in operation at school opening and closing times (Vicarage Road, Chapel Lane, Vicarage Gardens). This helps alleviate any head on traffic congestion that may lead to the mounting of kerbs that puts members of the community in danger.
In addition the parents have reported their concerns about adults dropping off children on the yellow lines as well as parking in an unsafe manner, whereby putting the school community in danger. Please take everyone’s safety seriously and refrain from dropping children off or parking on the yellow zig-zag lines as well as mounting the kerb to park and restricting the space to cross safely; there is ample parking space at the village hall for your convenience.
Thank you from the Parents’ Forum.
This year's Wrawby Show will take place on Sunday (not Saturday) 5th August in the Village Hall. As usual there will be a wide range of classes, with something for everyone to enter. More details and the Programme will be published shortly in the magazine and on this site.
Everyone from Wrawby is welcome to join in weekly walks by turning up at the Village Hall Car Park at 10 am on a Monday. The walks will last for about an hour and finish with refreshments. You can check with Sheila in advance by e-mailing her at this address.
